Two things you can do to protect our environment

In my memory, I rarely heard of global warning even ten years ago. However, you can easily receive various information from TV, newspaper or broadcasts to warn us how dramatically the world is changing. I strongly agree that it is everyone's responsibility to contribute their minor effort to save or maintain our environment, whether for long-term or short-term plans.

I have come up with two things that we can do in our daily life to protect our environment as well as we can. First, people can try to cook less food to reduce the amount of a meal which decreases unnecessary waste. Moreover, avoiding all-you-can-eat buffets not only protects our environment but also is beneficial for your health. Most people cannot resist eating more if there is plenty of food in front of them, and they definitely will not let the chance go since they have spent a lot of money to enjoy the delicious food. Controlling your consumption in each meal is the simplest way to put the goal into practice.

Secondly, people should try to walk more frequently than drive or take public transportation to any destinations. Research indicates that walking is an extremely efficient exercise to produce blood pressure or hear diseases, and the most attractive reason is that people don't need to spend extra money to buy equipment or spend extra time. Fifteen minutes a day could be still helpful to increase your physical condition and mental energy. Imaging how relaxing it would be to take a walk to a park or a grocery store to enjoy a gentle breeze and warming sunshine.

It is never easy for people to get rid of their old habits. For me, the most important priority to protect the environment is to find ways to live healthy and joyful. Without abundant food, you can use your imagination to create your meals more delicately. Without rushing to drive just to grab food and complete the shopping lists, you can allow yourself more flexible time to think or breath fresh air while walking. I deeply believe that these two things mentioned above can enrich people's lives and change the way they see the world, and then, they can do more to improve the current environment.
